Poverty- The state or condition in having little or no money, goods, or means of support.

This there is the definition of poverty, that is what some people all over the world are facing each day of their lives.  According to UNICEF ( United Nations International Emergency Fund ) 26,530,000 die each day to to poverty. UNICEF is a service in which they try and help billions of children and families that are living in poverty all over the world.  Their main focus is to help those with: children’s survival and development, basic education and gender equality, children with HIV/ AIDS, child protection, etc.  They think that it is vital that people try to get involved with the poverty of children and families all over the word because the children are the future, and we are able to stop all this and make the world a little better. Children should not be dying from things that we have medicine for, things that we can prevent; and the world has set gaols for us, and it is our job to fulfill them.  One of the biggest things that they try to do is teach children of all ages the basic education. Educating children can help lift people out of poverty. This is because having the knowledge can get you through a lot of situations through life, when you are educated and you go through college, you are than able to start your career; you live off of what you have learned.  Those who are not as educated as others tend to have a bit more trouble finding well paying jobs.  Therefore, it is harder to make a living.  As I had said before, we can easily educate people all over the world, we can stop all this pain, we can make this world a better place to live in, because it is the only one we have, and it is our job to help it.

    Asia,
The world has set goals for us to try to achieve but too often money is sent to countries where poverty is happening and due to corrupt politicians or public servants, the money doesn’t always reach those who need it the most. What, as students, can you urge the government to do, especially as you have a new president soon?
